Valley Home & Living is an editorial publication covering Arizona's home, outdoor and lifestyle market — the trades, products and places shaping how the Valley lives.
We started Valley Home & Living because the homeowner experience in metropolitan Phoenix doesn't look like the homeowner experience anywhere else. Pools outnumber lawns. Summers run eight months long. Equipment fails faster, landscapes ask for more patience, and the difference between a great trade partner and an average one shows up in your power bill, your repair bill, and your weekend.
Our job is to cover that market with the standards of a credible regional publication — the same standards you'd expect from a "Best Of" feature in a respected city magazine. We research, we interview, we cross-check, and we publish.
Independence. We do not accept payment, fees, commissions, or sponsorships from the companies we rank. Companies cannot pay to be added to a ranking, to move up in a ranking, or to be removed from one.
Transparent methodology. Every ranking publishes its scoring criteria. Our reputation-based rankings combine average star rating with verified review volume across public review platforms, weighted to reward consistency at scale.
Verification. We cross-check service areas, business hours, licensing (where applicable), and reviewer authenticity before publishing. Companies are contacted only after their ranking is finalized — never during scoring.
Corrections. If a published figure is wrong, we correct it openly and note the date of the change.
